Hello everyone!

I hope you’ve been doing well. I’ve been up and down and around…I think I have felt all emotions, both positive and negative in the past month. This week is different through, I’ve managed to gain enough courage to get back on my feet and live a fruitful life again. I’ve met amazing people in the past month who have all contributed to my healing. It’s going to be a process, but I’m very excited to finally have moved on.

I’m starting to feel like myself again, only someone who I had lost touch with while I was in a relationship. Now, I feel like I’m back, with more experience and a ton of plans for the future.

My new favourite saying is:
The heart was made to be broken.
- Oscar Wilde

Why? Because what I have learned is that people come and go in your life. Enjoy it as much as you can but be sure to make time for youself. It’s okay to have a broken heart, just accept that it will break again, it’s just life.

So my friends I’m now trying to be a more balanced person, accepting that bad things do happen in life, and you know what? You can get through it. Stay positive.

I’ve already written one song about this, who knows it may be a hit record. They say everything happens for a reason…

Thank you to everyone who’s been by my side throughout my journey.

I’ll admit I haven’t written in a while. I’ve been busy dealing with amazing things in my life and not so amazing things in my life. I’m getting ready to move and start a new chapter in my life. I’ve been living in the West of Ottawa for two years and now I’m about to move to the East. It’s very exciting but also very stressful.

Songs have helped me get through a lot in my life. Somewhere in the world of music, there is a song that describes your thoughts at this very moment…perfectly. Something significant did happen the past two weeks that have made me a tad bit depressed and irrational. This song is the song that explains what I’m thinking…exactly thinking…today…at this very moment. I’m trully grateful to have stumbled on this song, and listening to it makes me feel like I’m not alone in my dark mood. I’ve never felt these emotions in my soul, and so for me it is all new.

In the middle of my bad day, I had an angel come visit me. She’s my new little student called Alicia. She’s still young, but I’m getting the feeling she really looks to me as a mentor and the big sister she never had. I’ve always enjoyed being a singing teacher because of the relationships I build with the students. This letter, however, melted my heart…and it cheered me up. She doesn’t know it, but this young girl saved me today. She helped me notice the little things in life that make people happy. She doesn’t know it, but her innocence has helped me tap into my inner child and believe that everything will be ok.

Sweet note from my student

“Thank U for your hard work so far”

Hey everyone,

Today is a great day, beautiful weather…in fact, my windows are open and the fresh air is flowing into my living room as I write today’s blog entry.

After these months of cold and winter, I finally feel myself rising with the sun. I’ve been working on a medley, and will be posting it as soon as it’s ready. I’m embracing the great weather and acting and feeling great as a result. I have a ton of new students starting up soon, and my music is progressing. Our band’s new song called “So Hard” has been approved and is currently being re-adjusted to fit pro-mixing. I’m very excited. What great things is the weather bringing to you today?

Hi everyone,

Just sitting here with my dog Bella who keeps barking at me while I type…oh Bella…you’re cute, but man you can be annoying! Ah well…

Just finished a photoshoot with my new favourite photographer, Matthew Treacy. Here is one of my favourites:

To see more pictures, you can go to Matthew’s website: http://matthewtreacyphotography.carbonmade.com/

Other than that, I’ve been working my bum off in every aspect of my life. Life is the toughest it’s ever been right now, just trying to be an artist and make a decent living and grow a steady reputation and fanbase. Sometimes I feel the need to give up, but this experience is teaching me so many life lessons, that it is worth it even if my goal isn’t reached. Oh don’t worry, the goal will be met…that is to GET SIGNED WITH A RECORD LABEL! My band and I are writing songs, doing our very best to provide you with a quality song.

I’m a little sad that I missed the Canadian Music Week this year. I had such an amzing time last year, but the price is just way too crazy. Plus, I don’t know anyone who lives in Toronto, so last year I had to live in a hostel for a week, and that wasn’t a very good experience let me tell ya! Also, I still haven’t put all of the information I took down into action! You learn so much there, I recommend all artist rejoice this wonderful week and participate, even if you have to volunteer (that’s what I did and it was cheaper that way). I hope next year I’ll be able to attend, and maybe even perform, who knows. At first I wasn’t really excited about 2011, I just really thought my year was 2010…but now I’ve come to realize that in this business, things take time. A lot of time. But, they are all coming together slowly but surely.

Spring is here! Excited for the summer…excited for the snow to go away so I can stop being such a hermit… :)

How are your musical goals coming along? Are you putting yourself in a position to succeed?

Hi everyone,

For those of you who don’t know, along with being a musician and touring around with “Universal Music” signed artist Alex Lacasse, I’m also a singing coach. I’ve been teaching for 11 years and Alex Lacasse was also my first student! Look at him now, he’s got his own record deal and two singles on the radio, one of them being MY GIRL:

I encourage all of you to follow him on Twitter, add him to Facebook (he responds to you when you write to him!) and to keep supporting us. Your support means everything :) As you can see, I’m taking in new students in Ottawa, Barrhaven and in Orleans. I’m on the lookout for the next stars, the people in this city who are passionate about music and singing especially and need some help reaching their goals. Here is my ad below:

AD SHS

On that note, I’ll tell you all that I’m doing fine and that this experience is changing me in many ways, for the good I would say. Working doing what you love makes life a lot funner, and in turn makes being happy an easy thing to accomplish.

Hi everyone,

I am back into blogging after a long while of being extremely busy. I will admit that I’ve also been holding back on blogging because life keeps throwing me surprises and keeps moving in different directions. I’ve been busy writing with my band nearly every day of the week. I find writing songs in general is an easy task, but writing hit songs…not so easy. However, we’ve come up with some really great songs and even got to go to Nashville and Atlanta to write with well-known songwriters. Our goal is to compose three songs to eventually and hopefully present to a record company. Then, we hope to sign with them and jump start our career. Being in a band is fun, it’s different than being a solo artist, but in a good way. You have people that come along with you for the ride. I’m very blessed to be where I am today.

Here are some of the pictures of my band and I. Our band name is Tricked by a Kiss. The music is much different than what I am used to doing. Our original material is still in the works, but in the meantime we have been keeping busy posting cover songs on youtube. Check them out by typing my name in the search field and you will find some cool videos.

I’ve been working with Alex Lacasse on a regular basis. His career is blossoming, which is very nice to see and be a part of. His music video is now #3 on Muchmusic. Very cool. You can find it by clicking on this link: http://www.muchmusic.com/ur11/

Anyways, I promise to blog more often. Miss you all very much and thanks for being the best fans ever!
