About Chantal
Chantal Hackett is a multi-talented singer/songwriter of incredible versatility from Ottawa, Ontario (Canada). Her music is a blend of pop & soul, a cross between popular artists Kelly Clarkson & Emeli Sandé.
The soul of this young artist can be heard in each song that she sings, and her complete mastery of singing is remarkable. Her charm, poise and astonishing talent, just gets stronger with each and every performance.
Chantal has enjoyed training in voice and piano and has spent her life immersed in the exciting world of pop and soul.
In 2006 she released her first CD, a six-song Christmas collection featuring the incredibly beautiful original, My City at Christmas. She went to release her second album “Decision” in 2009 and has recently released her new EP entitled: “Ready for the Fall”. Her newest single is called “Where Were You.”
Chantal is also a lifestyle/culture blogger and devoted to the business and arts community. She is also a music teacher & speaker and owns her very own music studio located in Ottawa, ON called Sing House Studios.

CHANTAL’S MUSICAL HIGHLIGHTS:
1999: Accepted into the Vocal Excellence Program (Programme d’Excellence Artistique) and performed in over 150 shows during her program – places such as the Carnegie Hall, United Nations in Vienna (Austria) and the National Arts Centre to name a few | Ottawa, ON.
2000: Release of her first Christmas Album and single “My City at Christmas” which plays on Majic 100 FM Ottawa every Christmas season on an ongoing basis | Ottawa, ON.
2002: Sing House Studios Inc., a music studio is founded and created by Chantal – now operating in a commercial space with over 150 music students, INFO: www.singhousestudios.ca| Ottawa, ON.
2003: Graduated from the Vocal Excellence Program with Honours from l’Ecole publique De La Salle | Ottawa, ON.
2008: Graduated with a B.A. in Communications at the University of Ottawa (with a Specialization) | Ottawa ON.
2009: Release of her 2nd Album: “Decision” | Ottawa, ON.
– Back-up singer for Juno Nominated singer David Gogo
– Performed all over Ontario at various Bluesfests
2009-2010: Back-up singer in band for Universal Music Canada Artist, Alex Lacasse (who also happens to be her student for over five years). Together, they performed in Toronto and Ottawa alongside artists like Nelly Furtado, Emily Osment, Danny Fernandez and Alyssa Reid | Most of ONTARIO
2011-2013: Band is formed and performances at various venues, along with songwriting tour in US (Nashville & Atlanta)
2014-2015: Her longtime vocal student gets signed to Sony Music Canada, Michelle Treacy | Toronto, ON.
– Chantal expands her social media reach, youtube and social media platforms, releases new singles on iTunes “Ready for the Fall” and “Parachute”
– Chantal is selected as Guest Anthem singer at Ottawa’s TD PLACE and Canadian Tire Place
2016:
– Chantal TV is launched (youtube channel)
– Sing House Studios commercial location is built
– New singles to be released “Colours” and “Where Were You”
